About

Alessandro Reale has always had aspirations to be an author. When he was six years old, he penned his first “book”: a three-page story about a teddy bear.

Over the years, Alessandro continued to compose stories. It wasn’t until the summer before his 14th birthday that he began working on his first real book.

Alessandro spent the entire summer with a bad cough that kept him indoors. Instead of re-watching Lord of the Rings for the umpteenth time, he decided to sit down at the computer and get to work on creating his own story.

It would be almost seven years before Alessandro would actually finish this story. On August 19th, 2011, Alessandro self-published his first book: the young adult fantasy novel, Dodger’s Doorway.

Alessandro would eventually go back and rewrite Dodger’s Doorway after honing his writing skills. Once he had released the second edition of the book, he worked on completing the sequel. Return to Storyworld was published at the end of 2016.

In 2017, Alessandro announced a secret side project he had been working on: a children’s book called Only One Samantha. After publishing it in May of 2017, he was pleasantly surprised at the overwhelming positive reception. In the fall of 2018, he attended the Independent Author Book Experience, where Only One Samantha won the Best Children’s Book Award. Furthermore, Alessandro committed to donating all profits from Only One Samantha sales to charity, primarily the Children’s Literacy Initiative and Kisses for Kyle.

Over the next couple of years, Alessandro would created more children’s books, such as We All Make Mistakes and Anxious Alex and the Worry Monster.

Alessandro currently has many more projects in the pipeline. He’s hoping to bring them all to life very soon.
